What can you say about the tree that has it all? This is the famous tree that you're thinking of that grows natively along the California coast, from about Santa Cruz to very-southern Oregon. An ancient relic of a genus that used to grow across the continent, redwoods today are almost impossible to kill: they're resistant to decay, insects don't bother them, they sprout back after getting cut, their bark is fire resistant, and they live for thousands of years (the oldest recorded is 2,200 years old, but many have probably lived for far longer).
